# Why Merit

Corruption is prevalent in every sphere of life. What is valued isn't what's best for humanities' or even our own long term benefit. Apathy is strong too; there lacks a powerful motivator to doing the hard work that's required of advancing and moving our society forward. In addition there's too little trust to fully work together on medium to large scale endeavors with others many of whom you may not know well.

It's often not possible to have a long conversation with everyone, to know that they know that X Y and Z are awesome people. Let's face it we can't always share our experiences we had with those whom we trust and care about with others who may not have been there to see it happen. Lastly our differences and harsh life situations of the human condition often overshadow our similar longings and desires that are present. We're used to competing for survival and doing what we can to get ahead of the pack, and have less practice at cooperating for the benefit of everyone in a larger group.

All of us see it every day at work, some of us work hard and try our best to improve our environment and build something worthwhile while others will just stand there and do the bare minimum; or in cases even less. Yet both the industrious and the lazy are paid the same; and in some cases the lazy one is even rewarded more.

*We need merit for these and many more reasons.*

*Merit based currency is a completely new invention, as instead of giving a flat rate like fiat a meritable currencies like Konra, Azantii and SuperDOGE will also be used in later stages to reward meritable actions and the actual creation of value. This is beneficial for communities and earners alike.*

*With them the Konra project will spear head creative trials with merit based crypto token systems, we will see how we can best merge money with merit into something better for our communities.*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://konra-project.gitbook.io/konra-dogechain/why-merit.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
